This series is heavily inspired by textile design, one of my great visual loves. During the time I was creating these I also spent a lot of time walking around the park by my home. I wanted to illustrate that life is a garden of forking paths- every moment is constantly splitting into an infinite amount of other possible moments. In the images, I used imperfect duplicates of each flower, plant, caterpillar to communicate this. Everything is moving in multiple directions, always changing, multiplying and mutating. In the hand image, these mutations and changes are slipping in around and onto the hand like squirming cylinders of sand.
